
Operatives of the Imo State Police Command have recorded a major breakthrough in their ongoing efforts to clamp down on criminal elements in the state.
In a daring operation, police officers stormed a notorious hideout located on Cameron Street, Ubahu, in Okigwe Local Government Area. Upon sighting the operatives, the suspects opened fire, triggering a fierce gun duel.

At the end of the confrontation, three suspects were apprehended by the police. They were identified as Onyekaba Ikenna Innocent (21), Ugwu Ikenna (31), and Ofor Kasarachi (37). However, two other suspects managed to escape into the nearby bush and are currently on the run.
A search of the hideout led to the recovery of one AK-47 rifle, two pump-action guns, eighteen live cartridges, several mobile phones, laptops, and a staggering sum of ₦10.3 million in cash.
The police have confirmed that efforts are ongoing to track down the fleeing suspects, while the arrested individuals will be charged after investigations are concluded.
The Imo State Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to flushing out criminal elements from the state and ensuring the safety of residents.
