IMO STUDENTS MOURN THE SUDDEN DEATH OF DEVINE NWANERI

The National Leadership of National Union of Imo State Students (NUISS) received the sad news of the demise of our member; Divine Nwaneri, a first year student of Imo state University, Owerri, who was allegedly shot and killed by security operatives around Imo state government House Roundabout in Owerri on Sunday night.

Information brought before 9News Nigeria has it that Divine, popularly called “Aluta June 12” as most NUISS members name tagged her, was born on the 12th day of June,1997.

She was an indigene of Obollo in the Isiala Mbano LGA of Imo state and made popular for her calm nature and cheerful mood.

On this therefore, NUISS has maintained to collaborate with the Management of Imo state University and Imo state Government to ensure that justice is served and the killers be brought to justice.

In a press release made open to the press and signed by Comrade Charles Obiefule, 8th Republic Convention Chairman,National Union of Imo State Students (NUISS), the Union has cried loud that her death bleeds their heart.

In there words, While praying that her soul rests in peace, we urge all Imo state students to remain calm and please pray that peace returns to our dear Imo state and Eastern heartland.

Investigation is on to unravel the secret of her death which took place within the government house roundabout allegedly shot by security operatives in Owerri.

This is also a warning to the good citizens of Imo state to avoid night movements and be mindful of the recent state of INSECURITY IN the state.

May the Soul of Miss Divine Nwaneri rest in peace, Amen.
