Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has stated the facts on its Schedule of Post Election activities. The dates were fixed by the Commission few hours ago after a thinktank meeting held with RECs from all the states of the federation.
The Post Election activities include, mentioning of dates for supplementary Elections at various constituencies affected, issuance of certificate of return to Senators/House of Reps- elect.
Meaning, the Commission met with RECs in Abuja to disclose publicly their schedules of post Election activities that precedes the official swearing in ceremony as reported by 9News Nigeria.
In the meeting, the Hon Chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu stated the following:
That Winners were declared for 423 legislative seats.
That supplementary elections indicated in 46 Constituencies.
That 98 out of 109 Senate, 325 out of 360 House of Reps seats was declared nationwide.
That 7 parties won Senate and 8 parties won House of Reps seats.
That Senators/House of Reps- elect will receive certificates on 7th, 8th March respectively.
