Following the resurgence of attacks by Boko-Haram terrorists in the northeast, the Nigerian Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa is set to visit Maiduguri, the capital of Borno, today.
According to Captain Reuben Kovangiya, the spokesperson for Operation Hadin Kai, a counter-insurgency operation in the North East of Nigeria, the CDS would be accompanied by senior officers from the Defence and Services headquarters.
The reason for the visit was not disclosed; however, it may be connected to the resurgence of attacks by insurgents across the state.
Last Tuesday, insurgents attacked four military bases in the state, raising fear among residents.
