The Insecurity situation in Nekede and its neighboring Communities of Avu, Ihiagwa and Obinze is becoming uncontrollable. In other words herders have ravaged the communities chasing landowners and farmers away from their farm lands.

Flood on its part has eaten deep the fabrics of Development and progress in the area. The Zoo bridge at Nekede old road and that of Nekede Mmiri Nkwoahia link bridge at number 12 bus stop are near collapsing.

The Ihiagwa axis of the busy express road is cut off while leo-9 construction company has evacuated their equipments from police post Umuoma Nekede.

The photo in this story speaks loudly the actual position of Nekede, the closet city to the Imo state capital Owerri. Nekede old road precisely at the zoo area is impassable and the already abandoned construction of bridge stands to collapse because of this continous flood in the area.
