Governor David Nweze Umahi of Ebonyi State, on Friday, said it is an insult for former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode who decamped to the ruling party , All Progressives Congress, to say he(Umahi) joined APC because of him.
9NEWS NIGERIA had reported that Fani-Kayode was received at the Aso Rock by President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday after joining the party.
Speaking during an interview with Channels Television monitored by 9news Nigeria, Umahi said Fani-Kayode was not instrumental to him joining APC.
Umahi said Fani-Kayode who remains his friend should withdraw the statement and focus on making the party strong.
Recall that Fani-Kayode while speaking after visiting Buhari on Thursday said he was instrumental to Umahi and other state Governors joining APC.
