Information has reached us that Hon. Chijioke Ihunwo narrowly escaped an assassination attempt in Chinda, Rumueme, within the Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State. The attack was carried out by unknown gunmen and poses a direct threat to his life and safety. During the incident, he also lost some valuable items.
We strongly condemn this heinous act and call on security agencies to launch a thorough investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice.
