Senator Representing Plateau North Senatorial District, Barrister Istifanus Gyang has suffered a set back in his bid to return to the upper legislative chamber on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He lost his ticket to a two-term member of the House of Representatives Representing Barkin Ladi/ Riyom Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Honorable Simon Nwadkwon.
The results had Senator Gyan scoring 99 votes while his rival Hon. Simon Nwadkwon polled 119 votes to be declared winner in the early hour of Tuesday 24/05/22.
