The Rotary Club of Nigeria, with branches in Eneka and Port Harcourt, has donated a solar-powered borehole to the Eneka Divisional Police Station in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Rivers State.
The project was officially commissioned and handed over to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), SP Lewis, to serve both the police station and the local community.
Representing the Rivers State Police Commissioner, the Area Commander of Oyigbo Area Command, ACP Gabriel Omale, commissioned the project. The event was attended by SP Lewis Akpo the DPO of Eneka Division, as well as members and leaders from the Rotary Club branches in Eneka and Port Harcourt, Oyigbo Area Commander ACP Gabriel Omale, and the Rotary Club of Nigeria for their generous support and dedication to community development. He emphasized that this donation is a timely boost towards providing clean water for officers, visitors, and residents in the area.
This project underlines the Rotary Club’s ongoing to commitment to humanitarian service and its partnership with public institutions to improve community welfare.
