
The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, said it has successfully concluded registration of 3,155 intending pilgrims for the 2025 hajj.
Director General of the board, Lamin Danbappa, disclosed this on in Kano, while receiving the management team of the Immigration Service in his office.
Danbappa said that the board had completed all necessary arrangements, including hajj induction course, documentation and packing of hand luggage.
9News Nigeria reports that part of the statement revealed; “The Board is now in the process of issuing visas to the registered pilgrims,” he said.
The DG commended the state government for its continuous support of the board’s efforts, in ensuring a smooth Hajj operation.
On her part, the newly appointed Controller of Immigration Services in charge of Malam Aminu Kano International Airport Command, MAKIA, Aisha Nda, said they were at the board to present an award of excellence to the director-general.
Nda stressed that the service would continue to collaborate with the board to manage migration-related matters during hajj operation.
