Kano State Government has concluded a mass wedding it conducted for 1800 couples
Most of the beneficiaries were primarily widows and divorcees who were willing to re-marry.
Additionally, the State government paid N50,000 as bride price for each groom.
As part of the mass wedding plan, the couples were also given a bed each, beddings, food, and clothes, with a condition that the couple will refund all monies spent on them to the State Government if one decides to divorce.
The wedding was a top campaign promise for the current Governor.
