Over the weekend, Nigerian federal government dolled out a whooping sum of three hundred and sixty billion naira for the completion of the second niger bridge in Onitsha Anambra state south-east Nigeria.

Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo state who led the delegation to the project site expressed happiness that President Buhari has approved such money to complete the second niger bridge because of the support the zone have shown to the APC led administration.

Information revealed to 9News Nigeria has it that the speed of work at the project site will be a massive while to synchronize the government resolve to finish the bridge before the end of the year 2021 and the first quarter of 2022.

FG dolled out 360bn for the completion of 2nd Niger Bridge in the South East as Governor Hope Uzodinma leads the inspection of the project site. It is the belief and expectation of the people to see speedy work to its completion before the end of 2022.

Recall that in one of his election promise, the president has resolved his readiness to foster hard work to deliver a better Nigeria and to continue building on the foundations of peace, rule of law and opportunities for all. ‘We have no other motive than to serve Nigeria with our hearts and might, and build a nation which we and generations to come can be proud of’

The information has it that the Second Niger Bridge is among the topmost challenging project facing APC government, that the previous PDP led administration could not complete during the time of former Goodluck Jonathan.

President Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Ambassador Professor George Obiozor had earlier commended this gesture of the APC government and requested the south easterners to support the Buhari led government.
