Dr. Victor Umeh OFR (Ohamadike Ndigbo) has been appointed the Chairman, Senate Committee on Diaspora and Non Governmental Organizations (NGO).
As Chairman of this vital Committee, Senator Victor Umeh will deploy his wealth of knowledge in addressing issues affecting citizens living abroad, promoting engagement and collaboration with the Diaspora Community, discussing policies that affect expatriates’ rights and interests, and facilitating communication between the Government and its citizens overseas.
The Senate Committee on Diaspora and Non Governmental Organizations is also to provide parental care to the Nigerian in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) as duty demands.
Reportedly, the people of South East (Ndị Igbo) are a major block in the Diaspora Communities all over the world! It will be another golden opportunity to protect their interests wherever they live.
Labour Party has so far maintained that God will empower Senator Umeh, with physical strength and wisdom to discharge his duties effectively in his new position in the Senate and for the better representation of Anambra Central Senatorial District.
