Hundreds of people, including diplomats, national and international delegates, and other officials and guests, have stormed into the Muhammadu Indimi International Conference Centre, University of Maiduguri, for the 5th Lake Chad Basin Governors Forum.
Hosted by Yobe State Government, the forum is expected to deliberate on important developmental issues and challenges facing the region.
Also, a panel discussion on topic issues would be discussed.
However, the main conference is yet to commence at the time of filling this report, as they await the presence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who would be represented by vice president, Kashim Shettima.
Similarly, none of the three Nigerian governors and five other regional governors from Cameroon, Chad and Niger Republic is present at the venue.
The dignitaries are expected to come together and set the ball rolling.
