Dontay Banks Sr., the father of popular rapper Lil Durk, has claimed that his son has converted 13 individuals to Islam while in federal custody.
Banks Sr., who is also a devout Muslim, shared the information during a recent interview, describing Durk’s influence behind bars as “a testament to his spiritual growth and leadership.”
While details about Durk’s alleged federal detention remain sparse and have not been officially confirmed, the statement has sparked considerable interest across social media platforms.
“Durk has always had a strong spirit. And now, he’s using that to bring people closer to faith. He’s converted 13 people to Islam already.” Banks Sr said.
Lil Durk, born Durk Derrick Banks, has publicly expressed his spiritual beliefs in the past and has often referenced Islam in his music and personal life.
However, neither the rapper nor his legal team has released an official statement addressing his current legal status or the claims made by his father.
