Troops at the Joint Task Force North East Operation Hadin Kaii, have arrested a man identified as Abdulrazak Muhammad at a check point along the Damaturu-Potiskum road in Yobe State.
The suspect was unable to provide any valid identification and was found in possession of three mobile phones without SIM cards, a notebook, and small amount of foreign currency (3 Ghanaian Cedis and 50 Pesewas)
During interrogation, he reportedly gave conflicting accounts of his nationality, claiming at different times to be from Ghana, Mali, and Nigeria. He also stated that he is a student based in Ghana but could not clearly explain his destination or purpose of travel.
He is currently in custody as security agencies continue investigations to determine his true identity, movements, and any possible security implications.
