Manchester United may terminate Jadon Sancho’s contract, according to Sky Sports.
This could happen as a result of a new strategy on culture and recruitment under incoming minority owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
Ratcliffe’s INEOS group will emphasise the development of a more positive working culture and adopt a more ruthless approach to finding exit routes for players who fail to fit with the club’s ethos.
United would rather terminate contracts of such players than hold out to extract transfer value.
United have struggled in this area recently, with Sancho’s exile coming months after the protracted handling of the Mason Greenwood case.
INEOS and Ratcliffe are big admirers of how Arsenal have turned around their sporting culture by cancelling the contracts of Mesut Ozil, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Nicolas Pepe in recent seasons.
