An MRS filling station located on Kano Road, opposite the Fire Service in Kaduna State, has commenced the sale of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, at a pump price of ₦739 per litre.
The development, observed on Monday, 22 December 2025, attracted motorists and residents who described the price as significantly lower than what is obtainable at many other fuel stations across the state.
Although there was no official statement from the station’s management at the time of filing this report, the pricing is coming amid ongoing adjustments in the downstream petroleum sector following increased competition among marketers.
The sale at ₦739 per litre may offer temporary relief to commuters and commercial drivers in Kaduna, who have been grappling with rising transportation costs linked to fluctuating fuel prices.
