Friday August 30th, 2024, the remains of Late Music icon Onyeka Onwenu is laid to rest in Ikeja Lagos state Nigeria as 9News Nigeria reports.
After few weeks of the demise of this popular music icon and mother of two, Onyeka Onwenu is about to be buried today as her burial details revealed.
Her burial is slated to hold today friday, August 30, in Lagos state Nigeria.
Recall that the music icon, popularly called Elegant Stallion, died on July 30, 2024, at Reddington Hospital, Ikeja.
Her dead follow after she collapsed following her performance at the birthday party of Dr Stella Okoli, the Managing Director of Emzor Pharmaceuticals.
The funeral service, as announced by the family, will take place at the Fountain of Life Church, Ilupeju, followed by a private burial at a vault in Ikoyi Lagos State.
A funeral flyer stated that the Service of Songs is scheduled for 10 -12 noon while the burial, 2-4pm.
A revealing opinion piece in 2021, where the late icon revealed how she will prefer to be buried, “Do it quickly, quietly and privately,” she said at the time.
Meanwhile history has it that late Oyeka onwenu impacted alot of lives at her lifetime with her musical lyrics and consolation.
9News reports that she passed on at the age of 72 years old and buried in Ikeja Lagos state on Friday 30th day of August, 2024.
