Nasarawa Govt approves N70,500 Minimum Wages for workers

The Nasarawa State Government has reportedly approved the sum of Seventy thousand five hundred naira (N70,500) as new Minimum Wage for State workers

A member of the Adhoc Committee on Minimum Wage said the amount was reached at an ongoing meeting in Lafia, Nasarawa State.

This is coming few hours to the December 1st ultimatum given by the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, to State governments to implement the 2024 Minimum Wage Act or risk indefinite strike.

Governor Abdullahi Sule had on Friday, November 29, assured workers of the State of immediate implementation once the template for the Minimum Wage is finalized.
