Operatives of the Nasarawa State Police Command have intercepted 174 rounds of AK-47 ammunition and arrested a suspect identified as Abubakar Abdullahi.
The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Ramhan Nansel, made this known in a statement on Tuesday.
According to the statement, police operatives attached to the Toto Division intercepted the cache of ammunition and arrested the suspect while in routine patrol along the Toto-Abaji road on Monday, June 22, 2026.
The Police spokesperson added that the suspect is currently in police custody, while intensive investigation is ongoing to uncover the criminal network behind the illegal movement of the ammunition and apprehend all persons connected to the crime.
