Following the resignation of Presidential spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, Adamu Aliyu Ngulde, has implored on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to designate Abdul’aziz Abdul’aziz as his replacement.
He said that his appointment will add value to the presidential media team due to his expertise in public relation and journalism as a whole.
Mr. Ngulde, a popular broadcaster and journalist working in the Northeast for many years, added that his nomination of Abdul’aziz is also in recognition to his integrity and patriotism to the nation.
Originating from Kano State, Nigeria, Abdul’aziz pursued his education up to university level and commenced his professional journey as a literary craftsman and contributor to newspapers before attaining his initial journalism role in 2007.
Throughout the years, Mr. Abdul’aziz has occupied various positions within Nigeria’s media sphere.
Preceding his consideration for the presidential spokesperson position, Abdul’aziz served as the Deputy General Editor of the Daily Trust newspaper.
His credentials encompass involvement in numerous journalism and literary workshops, such as the British Council writing workshop overseen by Bernadine Evaristo and the Farafina Trust/Chimamanda Adichie workshop in 2012.
Also, his contributions to journalism and literary arts have garnered considerable recognition, resulting in multiple nominations and accolades, with his poetic works being featured in anthologies.
Subsequent to a comprehensive evaluation of Abdul’aziz’s achievements, Ngulde beseeched President Tinubu to consider his appointment.
He emphasized Abdul’aziz’s extensive experience in the media realm, deeming him the most qualified contender for the presidential spokesperson role.
Ngulde underscored Abdul’aziz’s decade-long commitment to honing his competencies in media, communication, and public relations, an asset he said will help in presidency with effective public communication, especially in the current economic crisis in the country.
Throughout his professional trajectory, Ngulde said Abdul’aziz has displayed a profound comprehension of media intricacies, communication methodologies, and public relations.
He added that his proficiency in engaging with both conventional and contemporary media platforms uniquely positions him to meet the diverse communication needs of the presidency.
