Nico Rosberg won the Singapore Grand Prix to move ahead of Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton in the World Championship standings.
The German started strongly and he held off late pushes from Daniel Ricciardo and the Briton to secure his eighth win of the season and take an eight-point lead in the standings.
Rosberg went into the weekend just two points behind Hamilton, knowing that he had the power to take control of the drivers’ championship.

He did exactly that with a fine race even though it wasn’t without its scares. Rosberg chastised his team on the radio when they let him know how close Ricciardo was to him as the Red Bull man kept on pushing to try and close the gap on the leader.
With Sebastian Vettel down in fifth it was another good weekend for Ricciardo, who further cements his grip on third place in the standings.
Meanwhile young Danish driver Kevin Magnussen managed to finish in the top ten with his Renault.
