Niger Delta: Minister Pays Courtesy Visit To Delta State Governor

DELTA STATE: The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Hon. Abubakar Momoh has paid an official courtesy visit to Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori at Government House, Asaba.

The visit was scheduled by the Minister to familiarize with the state government on issues bordering the Niger Delta Affairs.

Speaking, Governor Sheriff congratulated the Minister on his appointment and charged him to work in harmony with the Niger Delta states to achieve his purpose to the general benefit of the people.

Governor Sheriff stated that the Ministry of Niger Delta needs to collaborate with State Governments to ensure that the region benefits from quality projects in the administration of President Bola Tinubu.

“I am happy for your appointment because you are somebody from this region and I know that when you appoint somebody from the region he will do something that he will be remembered for.

“This region produces the highest wealth that we use in running this country so attention ought to be paid to the region.

“As a Minister for the Niger Delta, do your best to ensure that the region gets the best in terms of road projects, security, shore protection among others.

“Do not also forget the issue of Youths restiveness.” Governor Sheriff added.

In his reaction, the Minister promised to put his best effort together with the management in making sure the Niger Delta community benefits from the unwavering policy of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration through the ministry of Niger Delta Affairs.

The working visit to the governor friday was a delegation from the Niger Delta Affairs ministry led by the Minister Hon. Abubakar Momoh.
