Former Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly and 2023 gubernatorial candidate, Ike Ibe, urged Nigerians to remain resilient amid the country’s ongoing economic and social challenges.

In his Independence Day message marking Nigeria’s 64th anniversary, Ibe, who also served as the Imo State Trade Representative to the United States, encouraged citizens to hold onto hope for a brighter future.

The former Speaker expressed empathy for the struggles many Nigerians face today, while drawing attention to their historical strength and determination.

“During these times of unprecedented hardship, I wish Nigerians the courage to persevere.

“Remember, no matter how dark the night, light will always prevail.” Ibe stated.

He highlighted the nation’s legacy of resilience, calling on citizens to continue navigating the difficult balance between the challenges and the opportunities of nationhood.
