Nigerian musicians abroad have really proven beyond reasonable doubt that Music originated from Africa. Of course the strong rhythm, swags, vibes and beats that originated from Africa make the difference in the music world.
Nigerian musicians like King Ocoro, Wizkid, Davido, Tiwa Savage, Falz, Tekno, to mention but just a few, have continued to set the pace for African music, allowing others to follow. They are making waves beyond the shores of Nigeria.
King ocoro has set Australia and some other European countries ablaze with his latest hit song ”IWOTAGO?” which recently hit the airwaves like thunderstorm. “The beat is irresistible”, said a fan who posted on King Ocoro’s Instagram fan page.
Born and raised in Nigeria and now living in Australia, Onwa Matthew Okoro is a music composer, performer, producer, and creative artiste. An indigene of Isi-ugwu village, in Ezike Igbo Eze North LGA, Enugu Ezike town in Enugu state, Nigeria, Mathew Okoro has blossomed through the years as a contemporary African artiste with a unique message for everyone.
Having moved to Australia since 2007, the talented Afro-Pop musician has always stayed in touch with his homeland using his well-blended African voice tinged with a sea of real life experiences in classical indigenous tune.
Popularly called King Ocoro, the Enugu-born artiste released his first single titled, ‘Mugu maga’ meaning Imperfection of humanity in 2016, which shot him into musical limelight amidst strings of commendations from fans in Nigeria and abroad. Shortly after, he did a fresh mix song with other A-lists artistes, titled ‘Papa God Too Much’ in 2017 and ‘Walking men’, also in the same year.
Because of his passion for music and entertainment with an enduring positive vibe, King ocoro did a hit song titled ‘Kelle governor’ in February 2018, dedicated to the governor of Enugu state which received massive playtime in radio stations across the state and beyond.
In this latest single, ‘Iwotago?’ King ocoro has once again redefined the beauty of undiluted Afro-Pop music. Freshly released in 2018, ‘Iwotago?’ is a classic blend of indigenous dancehall music that delivers a unique message peculiar to life in the world today. It emphasizes on the struggle for money and the resultant effect of it. ‘Iwotago?’ is a song that will surely get your dancing shoes painting the floors all day. Inspired by internationally-acclaimed artists like Phyno, Olamide, Davido, Wizkid etc, King ocoro hopes to make more good music collaborating with different Nigerian artistes.
