Nigeria's ethnic diversity should be a source of strength than a point of difference - VP Osinbajo

The Nigerian Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has highlighted that the country is in dire need of men and women who see the prevalent ethnic diversity as a source of strength other than a point of difference.

Professor Yemi Osinbajo made the comments on Saturday, 4th December 2021 as he made updates on his visit to Bida Emirate in Niger State.

The Vice President wrote that while he was attending the turbaning ceremony at the richly cultural and profoundly historic Bida Emirate on Saturday, he reiterated the country’s need for more men and women who are bridge-builders and unifiers than achievers, the ones who see our ethnic diversity as a source of strength, and not as a point of difference.

He further stated that It was a fitting event to make this point as he joined sons and daughters of Nupe to congratulate those who were honoured during the turbaning ceremony.
