Nike unveils new Super Eagles jerseys

Sports wear firm, Nike has officially unveiled the 2024 home and away kits of the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

The jerseys were revealed in a video shared on Nike’s social media page, ending much anticipation and speculation following a leaked viral designs.

For the first time in three years, the three time African Champions will wear white as their home kit, with the green jersey, traditionally Nigeria’s home kit, serving as away kit initial excitement among Nigerian football fans for a new jersey before the Africa Cup of Nations tournament was dashed when the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) released a statement debunking rumors of a new kit.

The home jersey features Green-White-Green tape on the sleeves and shorts, with a faded eagle design on the front.

Notably, the Super Eagles logo is absent from the jersey but appears on the shorts, while Nike’s logo’s is in red, deviating from the usual Super Eagles color scheme.

For their 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign, the Super Eagles are anticipated to wear the new jerseys.

The team’s third qualifying is scheduled for June 3 at home againt the Bafana Bafana of South Africa. Seven days later, They are scheduled to travel to Benin Republic.

Before that, the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations silver medalist, will visit Grand Stade de Marrakech in Morocco for friendly matches against Ghana and Mali on March 22 and 26, respectively.
