November Election: Governor Hope Uzodinma Chances Of Re-election As APC Kicks Off Campaign In Imo

The Governor of Imo State Nigeria, His Excellency Hope Uzodinma has showcased wide chances of winning the November 11 re-election bid if judged by the massive turn out of Imolites at the official Flag-Off of All Progressives Congress APC 2023 Governorship campaign on Wednesday,11,2023.

The comprehension of Governor Uzodinma’s worksheet of the first term of office is another testament that approves his re-election bid and boldly speaks for his general acceptability by Imo voters.

In Owerri, the state capital, the campaign Flag-Off event started at the early hours of Wednesday as scheduled by the campaign council together with the Macdonald Ebere’s led APC party in the state.

9News Nigeria correspondent reports that, about 16 Governors from various states of the Federation were fully in attendance alongside party membership, stakeholders, dignitaries and statesmen.

Speaking at the event, the National Chairman of APC, Alhaji Ganduje told Imo people that Hope Uzodinma will deliver successfully as the best Governor Imo has ever produced.

Uzodinma has established good improvements in Imo state and without doubts established a deep working relationship with the presidency which is geared towards attracting more developments to better the state.

The above statement of APC national chairman Ganduje was corroborated by the Vice President Shettima who added that Governor Uzodinma has recorded huge successes in the state.

Governor Uzodinma’s first term of office has an enviable scorecard which ranges from road construction to recovery and establishment of signature projects as 9News Nigeria reports.

His good works also cuts across Federal Government and non- governmental organizations NGOs, Security, laws, policies and programs, workers welfare, infrastructural development and series of human empowerments.

While stating his vision for a better Imo state, Uzodinma hinted that his government shall be a faithful covenant between the people and the government. He sworn that he shall execute , with utmost diligence and fidelity, the state charter of equity to accommodate Owerri and Okigwe zones in the Governorship slot respectively.

Governor Uzodinma who doubles as the All Progressives Congress APC Guber candidate has assured to consolidate on the gains of the five cardinal programs of his administration anchored on the 3Rs of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Recovery to ensure prosperity for every Imo Sons and daughters.

Our correspondent reports that the event was nothing short of a carnival, with Senator Abdulahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the party, and former Imo State Governor Senator Rochas Okorocha, all present and fervently campaigning for the re-election of Governor Uzodinma.

The high point of the rally came when the Vice President and the National Party Chairman formally handed over the APC flag to Senator Hope Uzodinma and his running mate, Lady Chinyere Ekomaru, signifying their endorsement as the party’s standard bearers.

While presenting the welcome address, the State Party Chairman of Imo APC , Hon. MacDonald Ebere, PhD, emphasized on the remarkable achievements of Senator Uzodinma during his first term in office.

Hon Macdonald Ebere highlighted the Governor’s commitment to various sectors. In Infrastructural Development, Hon. Ebere posited that Senator Uzodinma’s administration witnessed a significant transformation in critical infrastructure, with roads and public facilities being revitalized.

Notably, the ongoing project to dredge Oguta Lake and Urashi River promises to connect the state to the Atlantic Ocean, ushering in immense economic benefits.

In healthcare delivery, Hon. Ebere submitted that Governor Uzodinma invested heavily in healthcare, establishing new hospitals, clinics, and well-equipped health centers to provide quality medical services to the citizens.

In the area of Urban and Rural Renewal Initiatives, Hon. MacDonald added that Imo’s cities have undergone a remarkable transformation under Senator Uzodinma’s leadership.

Dilapidated urban areas have been revitalized, and rural development initiatives like the One Kindred One Business Initiative (OKOBI) have breathed new life into the rural economy.

Also, the new and improved Civil Service Reforms in the State’s civil service according to the Imo APC Chairman has been streamlined to ensure effective service delivery and reduce bureaucracy.

Under Youth Development through Digital Skill-up Programs, Hon. Ebere said Governor Uzodinma’s digital initiative has equipped over 20,000 Imo youths with digital skills, with plans to train an additional 40,000, positioning them favorably in the ever-growing technological world.

Ebere further emphasized Senator Hope Uzodinma’s outstanding track record and unwavering dedication to the state which posited an unduanted confidence under Uzodinma’s leadership.

The state party Lord also called on all Imolites to unite and build a prosperous and inclusive future for the state through voting en-masse Governor Uzodinma on the November Governorship Election as scheduled by INEC.

The Majority Leader IMHA Rt Hon Kanayo Onyemaechi while speaking with Pressmen stated that Imo state will be better with the re-election of Governor Hope Uzodinma. The legislator hinted that the 10th Assembly will do everything possible to assist the Governor to give Imo the best desirable governance.

Onyemaechi further assured Ndi Imo of the practicality of the legislative stand of the State Charter of Equity. He added that the best choice for Ndi Imo is to vote Governor Hope Uzodinma come November 11 Guber Election.

Other political parties in Imo state are straying in fear and confusion of the thunderous gathering of supporters from all works of life and across political parties to support Governor Uzodinma’s second term bid as 9News Nigeria report.

The Vice President, His Excellency Shettima, about 16 Governors from various states, numerous groups, political appiontees, honourable members of IMHA, Hon Commissioners, traditional rulers, non indigene groups, artisans, special citizens, market associations, Imo community Vanguard, APC structures, party leadership and array of dignitaries too numerous to mention were in attendance at the APC campaign Flag-Off held at Dan Anyiam Stadium Owerri.
