In the Matchday 8 of the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL), the sensational young talent, Risilanu Isma’il scored a late equalizer against Kwara United to secure a point for El-Kanemi Warriors.
The goal came at stoppage time, 94th minutes, to maintain the host’s unbeaten run in the league.
The match, which was played on Wednesday at El-Kanemi Warriors Sports Center, Maiduguri ended 1-1 at full time.
While the match ended goalless at first half, the visitors found the net early into the second half through a penalty, and resisted to the home side’s pressure until extra time.
While maintaining their fifth position with 12 points, the Kanem Warriors will travel to Port-Harcourt to face league leaders, Rivers United on Sunday.
The Rivers’ encounter would be a big test for El-Kanemi as they strive to extend their unbeaten strike in the league.
