The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed, has assured corps members that they would soon start receiving an increased monthly allowance of N77,000.
Speaking in Abuja during the commissioning of Staff bus donated by Capital Express Insurance Company, Ahmed stated that arrangements for the increased allowance have been finalized.
He emphasized his commitment to the welfare and security of corps members, assuring them that by 2025 they will receive all the benefits they deserve.
NYSC members have been receiving N33,000 monthly despite President Bola Ahmed Tinubu signing the new national minimum wage bill into law in July 2024.
