Obafemi Awolowo University professor, Richard Akindele, who was caught on tape demanding five rounds of sex from a female student has suddenly deactivated his facebook account.
According to ICIR, the Professor’s Facebook account with the username ‘akindele.iyiola’ and user ID ‘Akindele Richard Iyiola’ was active and accessible on the platform as at yesterday when the scandal broke out.
However, in continuation of futile attempts to get Akindele’s reaction to the story, it turned out the page had been deactivated.
As Facebook does for deactivated accounts, typing the name ‘Akindele Richard Iyiola’ into the search bar of the social media site highlights the profile name (as proof that it once existed), but it cannot be clicked.
