In a goodwill message issued on Friday, Ejianya expressed gratitude to God for the life of the renowned mental health expert, noting that reaching the golden age of 50 marks a significant chapter of fulfilment and continued relevance.
“Fifty years is a remarkable milestone of grace and purpose. We thank God for your life and pray that you will celebrate many more decades—60, 70, 80, 90, and even 100 years and beyond—in good health and divine favour,” he said.
Reflecting on their long-standing relationship, Ejianya recalled their shared history dating back to their secondary school days, describing Igweobi as exceptional from an early stage.
“I am proud to have known him since our formative years. His brilliance, discipline, and character distinguished him even then, and over the years, he has continued to excel, rising above expectations and making a global impact,” Ejianya added.
He further commended the professor’s contributions to humanity, particularly in the areas of leadership, healing, and service, noting that his influence extends beyond professional achievements to community development.

Professor (Dr.) Luke Chike Igweobi is an internationally recognized psychiatric trauma specialist, scholar, and global health leader with extensive expertise in collective trauma, war-related psychological impact, and population mental health systems.
With distinguished academic and professional credentials including Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), Master of Science (MS), and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner-Board Certified (PMHNP-BC), alongside studies in Environmental Policy and International Development at Harvard, Dr. Igweobi brings a multidisciplinary and globally informed perspective to mental health care and policy.
He currently serves as the Executive Director of Outlets for Hope, Inc., where he leads initiatives focused on trauma recovery, mental health advocacy, and community resilience. He is also the Founder of the International Truth & Trauma Institute, an organization dedicated to advancing research, education, and evidence-based interventions in trauma studies worldwide.
Dr. Igweobi is an Adjunct Professor and author, contributing to academic discourse and shaping future professionals in mental health and international development. His work as a population health leader and international development consultant has positioned him as a trusted voice in addressing mental health challenges across diverse and underserved populations.
