The Publisher of one of Nigeria’s foremost online newspapers, 9News Nigeria, and media entrepreneur, Mr. Obinna Sunday Ejianya, JP, has been honoured with a Humanitarian Impact Award by Anambra State Polytechnic (ANSPOLY), Mgbakwu, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to education, entrepreneurship, and community development.
Mr. Ejianya, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Nine Communications Nigeria Limited, is an IT expert, businessman of international repute, and philanthropist based in Australia. The award was presented to Mr Obinna Ejianya’s representative by the Acting Rector of ANSPOLY, Dr. Njideka Rita Chiekezie, in the presence of distinguished guests, including Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Anambra State, and Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie (FCSN, FICCON, FCAI, JP), Rector, Federal Polytechnic, Oko.

According to the management and conference planning committee of the institution, the award presented during the 4th International Multidisciplinary Conference, held from 8th to 10th October 2025, recognizes Ejianya’s exceptional humanitarian service and dedication to societal advancement.
The conference, themed “Leveraging Artificial Intelligence for Transformative Education: Pathway for Sustainable Development in Education,” was graced by several dignitaries, academics, and professionals from across Nigeria and beyond.

In her remarks, Dr. Chiekezie commended Mr. Ejianya for his remarkable impact, stating:
“Your demonstrated commitment to humanitarian service, community development, and impactful philanthropy has distinguished you as a role model whose values align with our institution’s mission and the spirit of this conference.”
The institution further congratulated Mr. Ejianya, saying:
“We celebrate you on this well-deserved recognition and look forward to showcasing your inspiring contributions within our academic community and beyond.”
