Odumakin left humanity with legacy of service, fierce loyalty – Oyetola

The Governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola has described the late human rights activist and National Publicity Secretary of Afenifere, Comrade Yinka Odumakin as an illustrious son of the State who has left humanity with a legacy of inspirational service, fierce loyalty to the Yoruba race and relentless contributions to the quest for a greater nation.

The Governor stated this Saturday morning during the funeral service for Odumakin, which held at the premises of the Origbo Anglican Grammar School, Moro, Ife North local government council area.

While describing him as a phenomenal leader who without holding public office impacted Nigerians in a unique way, Oyetola affirmed that Odumakin’s death was certainly one too many.

“It is still a trying time for us all particularly his family.

“We are pained by the death of a man who lived for the people. But we must find comfort in the truly phenomenal life he lived.

“We are indeed grateful for his life and pray God Almighty to grant his family and all of us the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. May his soul rest in perfect peace”, he added.

Yinka Odumakin’s remains had arrived Osun from Lagos on Friday 23rd of April, 2021, where it was received at Asejire town by a delegation of the Osun State Government, led by the Chief Of Staff to the Governor, Dr. Charles Akinola.
