Ogun State Sets Date To Screen Intending Pilgrims For 2025 Hajj

Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, OGMPWB, has fixed 25th to 28th of February, 2025, as date to hold medical screening for intending pilgrims who plan on going for the 2025 hajj.

The board disclosed this in a statement made by the Executive Secretary, Ajibola Taiwo, which was made available to reporters on Thursday in Abeokuta.

Taiwo stated that the medical exercise would take place at the board’s office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, noting that the exercise is mandatory for all intending pilgrims, in order to ascertain their health status before embarking on the pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina.

The secretary, therefore urged all intending pilgrims to come along with evidence of their payments to the board’s office.

9News Nigeria reports that the 2025 Hajj  is expected to take place between June 4th and June 9th in the Gregorian calendar, corresponding to the 8th to 13th of Dhul Hijjah in the Islamic calendar.
