The BRT driver in connection with the death of Oluwabamise Ayanwola has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command.
It had reported that the 22-year-old lady went missing after boarding a BRT bus on February 26.
Her corpse was found lying on Carter Bridge by Ogogoro community in Lagos Island, said Police spokesman Adekunle Ajisebutu.
Senior Special Assistant to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Jubril Gawat confirmed the driver’s arrest on Monday.
The Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi, had earlier expressed sadness over the young woman’s death and assured that detectives handling the case will find the killers.
