Ondo Election: Police officers kick over non-payment of duty allowance

Some officers of the Nigeria Police Force have reportedly expressed displeasure over the non-payment of their duty allowance for the coverage of last Saturday gubernatorial election in Ondo State.

Over a hundred police officers were deployed to Ondo State for the coverage of the off-cycle election from the Force Headquarters, Abuja and the police commands in Abia and Nasarawa States.

The aggrieved officers particularly from the Force Headquarters, converged at the Police Headquarters in Akure, demanding for the payment of their allowance.

Meanwhile, according to multiple sources, other officers from Abia and Nasarawa have left Ondo, Southwest Nigeria to their respective Command after completing the assignment.
