The Oyo Police Command has arrested three suspected individuals and recovered items valued at over Thirty-One Million, Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (N31, 750,000) following credible intelligence from members of the public regarding an armed robbery incident in Ibadan.
In a statement signed on Wednesday by DSP Ayanladi Olayinka, the Police Public Relations Officer, the command said the operation was lunch after a report that Ezekiel Injie was robbed at gunpoint by five individuals in Coca-Cola area of Asejire, Ibadan, Oyo State.
The statement added that the Commissioner of Police CP Femi Haruna, “directed the CP Monitoring Unit to take immediate action”, using intelligence, technology, and investigative expertise to track the gang to the Oko area in Ogbomoso.
The three suspects arrested are Chigbo Mesoma (24), Erondu Wilson (29) and Okechukwu Emmanuel (25).
