The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, on behalf of the National Executive Committee (NEC) and the entire PDP family, commiserates with Akwa-Ibom state Governor Udom Emmanuel over the death of his highly respected father, Elder Gabriel Emmanuel Nkanang.
The PDP is deeply saddened by the death of Elder Nkanang, particularly at this time, when Akwa-Ibom state and Nigeria at large need his prayers, counseling and encouragement the more.
The party is however comforted that Elder Nkanang lived a fulfilled life as a devout Christian and a selfless leader, who made immense sacrifices towards the advancement of humanity and bequeathed to our party and nation, a patriot and statesman in Governor Udom Emmanuel.
The PDP observes that Governor Udom Emmanuel’s sense of patriotism, hard work, honesty, commitment to the welfare of the people of his state and the growth of the nation at large, are resounding testimonies of the values and lessons learnt from his father.
The PDP commiserates with Governor Udom Emmanuel, his immediate family and the government and people of Akwa-Ibom state and prays God to grant them the fortitude to bear this huge loss.
