The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has denied that former Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim slapped former House of Representatives member, Hon. Linus Okorie in his Abuja residence.
In a statement obtained by our correspondent, signed by Hon. Tochukwu Okorie, Chairman, PDP Ebonyi State, the party said outstanding their two leaders, Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim and Rt. Hon. Linus Okorie have continued to work together happily as brothers, allies and party men on the PDP mission to #RescueNigeria.
The party warned all the social media scoundrels and purveyors of fake information that the PDP as a law abiding entity and strong believer in the the rule of law will not hesitate to use all legal means to bring any individual or group who deliberately embarks on libelous publications against our leaders, members and the PDP.
The statement reads,
“Our attention has been drawn to a poorly concocted story being peddled by some faceless spineless cowards on the social media suggesting that there was a disagreement between two leading members of the high souring Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ebonyi State Chapter.”
“The nonsensical fable purportedly written under the pseudonym “Ignatus Ademola” of an equally fictitious “SKYREPORTERS” suggests that the frontline Presidential Aspirant and former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and the Secretary of the Reconciliation and Strategy Committee of the PDP, Rt. Hon. Linus Abaa Okorie had a disagreement in Abuja. “
“Save for the fact that this is a political period when gullible people can be hoodwinked on all manner of lies and negative propagandas, we would have simply ignored this very abysmal attempt at fiction writing being peddled by illiterate, uninformed and gullible social media elements. However, the general public is advised to confine it officially to the trashcan where it belongs.”
“We hereby put it on record that our two outstanding leaders, Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim and Rt. Hon. Linus Okorie continue to work together happily as brothers, allies and party men on the PDP mission to #RescueNigeria. As distinguished sons of Ebonyi State, they remain our pride and we eulogize their rare ability to synergize with all leaders and members of the PDP Ebonyi State chapter in the quest to rescue Ebonyi State from the clutches of rabid and ravenous, rabid click that seek to crash our hard earned freedom in Ebonyi State.”
