Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has refuted the report that he travelled to Rome to meet President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over an alleged N225 billion debt linked to Fidelity Bank.
In a statement on Thursday, May 22, 2025, Obi says the report is part of blackmail campaign aimed at damaging his reputation.
Recall that, a media report recently alleged that Obi met secretly with Tinubu in Rome to plead for intervention in the financial scandal involving Fidelity Bank where he served as board member.
