PG Commends Speaker For Building Ultra Modern Market At Umuezeagu Ehume

The Speaker Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Barr Kennedy Chidozie Ibeh, has assured the President General of Umuezeagu Ehume Autonomous Community, in Obowo Local Government Area, Sir Charles Nwankwo, and other leaders of the community of his determination to enhance the commercial standard of the people, particularly the women.

The Rt. Hon. Speaker gave the assurances on Friday while interfacing with representatives of the community, led by the PG, who paid him a courtesy call and tabled the condition of Umuezeala Ehume market.
He announced N1 million, (one million Naira ) start up capital to rebuild the Umuezeagu Ehume market.

Mr Speaker’s quest to develop the market and improve the commercial viability of the area was sequel to the courtesy call by women of the community to him sometime ago when they narrated the hardship they are going through in the market especially during this rainy season.

He called for a completion of a befitting market on record time, he prayed that God should help all members of the community and the women in particular, to use the instrumentality of the market to enhance their standard of living.

The President General while speaking, thanked the Speaker for representing Obowo State Constituency effectively in IMHA. He assured him of the unalloyed support of his people.

Recall that the Speaker had earlier made a donation of two transformers to the sane community.

Those that visited the Speaker include the President General, Sir Charles Nwankwo, the Woman Leader, Nkemdirim Alozie, Youth Leader, Ikenna Asoluka and APC stalwart from the community, Jennifer.
