Plateau State Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang on Saturday April 12, 2025 visited communities attacked by gunmen in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The Governor also pledged to facilitate the provision of mobile networking to the affected communities.
He reaffirmed the government resoluteness to safeguarding lives and property in the state.
Describing the attacks as “well coordinated and deeply troubling”, he stated that his administration in collaboration with the Federal Government and security agencies, has already taken proactive steps to prevent a recurrence.
“The security of our people is top priority”, he emphasized.
“We are here to commiserate with our people as well as asses the level of destruction and demonstrate the government’s solidarity with the affected communities.
“I urged residents to remain vigilant and continue supporting the government’s Peace Building efforts, while calling for unity and collaboration to overcome insecurity in the state”, he added.
The governor also visited internally Internally Displaced Persons (IDP’s) from the affected communities.
