Plateau LG poll: Residents awaits election results

The Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission, PLASIEC headquarters in Jos where the results of the Local Government election held on Wednesday October 9, 2024 is to announced later in the day is in preparatory mood.

The election which was held across the 17 Local Government areas of the State has been described as generally peaceful.

At the moment, the media, PLASIEC officials and political parties agents are already occupying the hall serving as collation centre.

Huge security officials were mounted at a strategic locations in Jos and much more around the PLASIEC headquarters.

The State has been relatively calm as vehicular and human movement have picked up, hours after the election amidst the public holiday declared by the State Government.

The PLASIEC collation center is expected to open any moment from now to bring to the fore results from the council areas where the elections has been concluded.
