- 5. 22 (29.3%) candidates are holders of B.Sc or HND.
- 13 (17.3%) candidates holds M.Sc. or PGD.
- (2.6% candidates (Bassa and Mikang LGAs) posses a Ph. D.
- Interestingly, 1 Vice Chairman candidate holds a Ph.D, while his flag bearer/chairmanship candidate is a holder of Bachelor’s of Law (Jos East LGA)
- 817 candidates across different political parties are contesting for the position of councillor in the 324 State Wards.
- Disaggregation of Councillor candidates by the highest educational qualification shows that 682 candidates hold SSCE. 129 candidates are holders of B.Sc or HND or 5 candidates are holders of M.Sc or M.A and 1 candidate holds a Ph.D.
