Plateau Police recovers stolen Toyota Hiace Bus, arrests suspect

The Plateau State Police Command is pleased to announce to the general public that a stolen Toyota Hiace Bus, which was reportedly missing on September, 16 2024, has been successfully recovered.

Upon receiving report of the missing vehicle, gallant operatives attached to Bukuru Division immediately swung into action by executing stop and search operations within the area.

In a statement by the Plateau State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Alfred Alabo said; “The vehicle was recovered in possession of one Kabiru Mohammed, male of Sabo Gari Narabi, Toro Local Government Area of Bauchi State on September 18, 2024 at about 0045hrs.

“The suspect is currently in our custody providing us with useful information that will lead to further recoveries, upon conclusion of our investigation, the suspect will be charged to Court for prosecution”.

He added that, “The Plateau State Commissioner of Police, CP Emmanuel Olugbemiga Adesina, is committed to ensuring the safety of lives and properties within the State, hence he would not condone any act that could truncate the fragile peace on the Plateau.

“The Police Boss is hereby calling on the general public to always provide the Police and other security agencies with useful, timely and accurate information that could enable us serve you better and aid our operation on Plateau”
