Police arrest fake female corps member in Nasarawa orientation camp

Operatives of Nasarawa State Police Command have arrested a 23-year-old fake corps member at Magaji Dan Yumusa Orientation Camp, Keffi, Nasarawa State for offence of Criminal Trespass, Impersonation and Fogery.

This was contained in a press release made available to newsmen by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Nasarawa State Command, DSP Ramhan Nansel in Lafia on Thursday.

The PPRO explained that a complaint was lodged at Keffi Divisional Headquarters by a staff of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) that a head count was conducted on all Corps members undergoing three weeks orientation excercise at Magaji Dan Yumusa Orientation Camp, Keffi.

Consequently, one Ogeh Bethel Chibuife ‘f’ 23 year-old was found to have gained unlawful entrance into the camp and was arrested by police operatives.

He said investigation had revealed that the suspect was a student of Ebonyi State University, Faculty of Management Science and Department of Public Administratiion, who confessed that she was supposed to have graduated in 2022 but had alot of spill-over courses and in a bid to cover up the lies she’d made to her parents, she went to the market to purchased NYSC uniforms and other items meant for Corps members and sneaked into the Camp in order to take pictures and send to her parents before nemesis caught up with her.

The Commissioner of Police Nasarawa State Command CP Umar Shehu Nadada hereby calls on all those nursing ambition to toe the path of these fake Corpsembers to have a rethink as the lead ng arm of the law will catch up with them.
