The police in Jigawa have detained 105 suspects over alleged drug peddling.
The spokesman of the command, SP Shiisu Lawan, confirmed the development in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), on Tuesday in Dutse.
He said operatives of the command nabbed the suspects following simultaneous raids between Oct. 6 and Oct. 13, across the state.
Lawan said the police recovered over 5,000 diffirent illicit drugs, narcotic substances and cash from the suspects.
He listed the seized drugs to include 2,341 tablets of exol; 1,146 D-5 tablets, 270 tramadol tablets, a pecel and 1,042 wraps of marijuana, 10 tablets of Diazepam, 53 pieces of rubber solution, N92,460, among others.
The spokesman said the command had prosecuted 50 out of the 105 suspects, while the remaining would be charged to court on completion of investigations.
