PDP Vows To Take Over Imo As Former APC Commissioner Ihekweme, Ezekwem & Others Defect At Senator Anyanwu’s Civic Reception

It was indeed a gathering of creme of personalities in Nigeria’s Political atmosphere at the civic reception of their best PDP Frontliner and a serving senator of the federal republic of NIGERIA, Senator Samuel Anyanwu Sam-Daddy which took place in Imo state on Wednesday 23-02-2022.

9News Nigeria Owerri reports that the event was a top notch having recieved Senator Samuel Anyanwu in grand style. It was as if the state was shut down to witness such a lively and rich filled civic reception.

In the meeting, the people’s Democratic Party PDP made an official presentation of Ngor Okpala Bye-Election PDP party candidate Jeff Nwachukwu to the public. Crowds of Party followership welcomed his candidature and promised to give him massive vote in the Saturday Election.

It was also supprising to watch the defection of one of the internal supporters and think thanks of APC Commissioner Ihekweme to PDP. Some other person’s defected but that of Ihekweme was a great shock to Imo APC.

Source revealed that the level of hunger and starvation of party loyalists and even Commissioners and Government Officials in APC have destroyed the party in the state whereby creating more rooms for defection to PDP before the 2023 Election.

In reaction to the recent defection of Ambassador Ihekweme to Peoples’Democratic Party PDP, APC Insist the state is intact with the leadership of GOVERNOR Hope Uzodinma in whose adminstration recorded huge transformations and Developments.

While responding to Ezekwem and Ihekweme’s gluttony with Political parties, APC maintained that the ‘two persons’ received by the PDP from the APC, arguably, HAVE NO ELECTORAL VALUE! They constitute the dregs of every group they belong!

However, Former Governor Emeka Ihedioha, has enjoined members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo state to remain steadfast, adding that victory is assured for the leading opposition party at the polls come 2023.

He gave the assurance during a reception ceremony organized in honour of the National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, in Owerri on Wednesday.

In the meeting, the former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives also said the party has grown stronger and has learnt from its past, and stressed that the PDP in Imo is prepared to deliver greater electoral outcomes.

The National Chairman of the party, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, in his address, appealed to the PDP faithful in Imo to put behind them the agonies of the governorship mandate which Imo people gave the party but was upturned by the apex court. Ayu, who is also a former Senate President, noted that victory is certain for the PDP in Imo state given the failure of the APC in Imo to perform.

He regretted the mishandling of the agitations in the South East by the APC-led Federal Government, insisting that agitations occur when people feel a sense of marginalization.

Ayu promised that when voted into power in 2023, the PDP will stop the killing of Igbo youths and will no longer unleash security agents on the people. He called on the leaders of the party in Imo to work together so as to take the reins of power in the state, which he said has become very certain.

In his remarks, the National Secretary of PDP, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, said PDP has one common enemy which is APC but maintained that the people’s Democratic Party PDP is united in the Imo.

The masses are left with the option of choosing the richer and better Political party in the state that will alleviate the plights of the people and also check the high prone of Insecurity bedevilling the society.

The civil reception done on Senator Samuel Anyanwu was in grand style where matters concerning Ngor Okpala Bye-Election and PDP internal squabbles were discussed.
